OSAAVA Services is seeking a Windows Desktop Expert professional to join our Air Force / Space team at Lackland AFB.
Operating System Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems on desktop computers.
- Manage system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
Technical Support:
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support for Windows desktop-related issues.
- Respond to help desk tickets and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that Windows desktop environments adhere to security protocols and compliance standards.
- Implement security measures to protect desktop systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
User Account Management:
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Windows desktop systems.
- Monitor user activity and enforce data security policies.
Documentation and Training:
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for Windows desktop setups.
- Train end-users on best practices for using Windows desktop systems effectively.
Other Duties:
Integration:
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate Windows desktop systems with network infrastructure and other technologies.
Maintenance Tasks:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, disk cleanup, and system optimization for Windows desktops.
Software Deployment:
- Assist in deploying new software applications and updates across Windows desktop environments.
Hardware Support:
- Provide basic hardware support and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed for desktop systems.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets related to Windows desktop systems.
Additional Information:
Temporary Position: This role is a temporary position with paid travel expenses, including hotel, rental car, for 30-60 days, with the potential for a permanent position.
Clearance and Certification: Candidates must possess a secret clearance and CompTIA certification for consideration.
