Job Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join our Engineering team in Springfield, Virginia for the role of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team member.
- The O&M team activities include supporting the daily execution of activities on a complex satellite ground system, supporting internal and external stakeholder maintenance activities, supporting bi-weekly operational software deliveries and performing on-site E2 triage and support during business hours with after-hours on-call expectations.
- Provide regular updates to the on-site SETA team via a daily status page and in-person engagements
- Support weekly SETA and team lead technical tag-ups
- Support Change Management Board meetings as needed
- Provide technical SME support as an on-site E2 Systems Integration & Test Engineer
- Work in a classified lab on site
- Work in an Agile program environment
- Experience working on-site in a badgeless environment with multiple stakeholders
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems
- Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
- Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
- Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations)
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Test Automation experience (Cucumber, Gherkin, home-grown)
- Experience with Java, C++, or Python
- Experience with Linux operating system
