DevOps Engineer

The Role : The DevOps Engineer will participate in the development of the cloud-based software architecture that supports critical Space infrastructure. This architecture includes components like the authoritative DOD mission environments; data engineering and wrangling pipelines; application pipelines; and APIs and other endpoints to serve Space missions. A strong DevOps Engineer will have a solid computer science/software development background with knowledge of Automation and Data Engineering workflows.

Your skills :

• Demonstrable expertise in software development or software engineering
• Familiarity with AWS, to include managed services, and data engineering-related tools and services
• Working knowledge of Python and Java
• Experience with Agile software development practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Experience designing and delivering analytic solutions in cloud environments
• Familiarity with containerization tools and techniques, container orchestration, and workflow management, to include technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is desired
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and techniques, to include technologies such as Ansible and Jenkins
• Demonstrable experience supporting the design, development, and deployment of data science environments on classified networks is highly desired

Your quals :

• MUST BE US CITIZEN capable of obtaining Secret, TS, or TS/SCI clearance
• 4+ years in a software development or software engineering with strong DevSecOps emphasis
• 4+ years developing and deploying software in an AWS DevOps environment
• Previous experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Bachelor's Degree (BS) or higher in technical field related to software development
• Security+ certification strongly preferred
