At MLT, we create solutions by empowering our people to fulfill their passion for service. In support of our customer, we are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/ principles/organizational protocols.
DevSecOps SME independently evaluates, selects, adapts, and modifies standard techniques and criteria in order to plan and conduct engineering assignment in conjunction with the appropriate platform teams. Independently plans, schedules, and conducts or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria. Analyzes complex features of the engineering solution and applies principles and practices of the discipline or devises new approaches in problem solutions. Thoroughly reviews all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.
Duties Include:
- Ensuring the security and integrity of system architecture.
- Implementing and maintaining security hardening measures in accordance with DoD STIGs.
- Managing and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server systems.
- Conducting routine system audits and compliance assessments.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure seamless and secure operations.
- Facilitating and optimizing the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and deploying resources using Terraform.
- Maintenance and sustainment of tools related to DevSecOps within the LDS enclave used in support of CI/CD efforts.
- Responsible for creation and sustainment of the playbooks/guides/wikis covering the DevSecOps tools that are needed to ensure platform teams can develop and deploy DecSecOps tools to act as guardrails to reduce risk.
- Responsible to review the interconnection of the DevSecOps systems with adjacent SCCA, cloud services, and mission systems to identify risks or issues that require a resolution.
- Knowledge/Experience using DevSecOps tools to include Jenkins, Puppet, Artifactory, and cloud native equivalents.
- Execute all efforts in a collaborative and Scaled Agile fashion while adhering to government mandated fixed due dates
- Work with Agile teams (developers, testers, operators and other production IT staff to oversee releases and deployments of capability.
- Supporting standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint -
Reviews and Retrospectives) as necessary and assist Scrum teams in execution of Sprints.
Technical Knowledge and Experience:
- Proficient in managing, maintaining, and securing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server systems.
- Thorough understanding and experience with the Department of Defense Security Technical
Implementation Guides (DoD STIGs).
- Experience in implementing security hardening measures and compliance assessments on both RHEL and Windows Server systems.
- Experience using Git and understand strategies (branching, tagging, merge requests, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and creating modules in Terraform.
- Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience with Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, and Artifactory highly desired.
- Experience with a range of AWS products (e.g. IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, EBS, Transit Gateway
Clearances and Certifications:
Active Secret Clearance
IAT 2 Compliant (Security+ & OS certification required)
CompTIA Security+ Certification.
Either CompTIA Linux+ Certification or a recognized Windows Operating System certification.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred.
