What You Will Do:
The SAP FIORI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative SAP software solutions. They will translate business requirements into precise technical specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams to work toward the successful implementation and integration of SAP solutions. Individuals in this role will work under the mentorship of Senior Developers but will perform more tasks independently with less supervision than associate level developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Meets with business and functional teams to understand business requirements and assists senior developers in documenting those business requirements.
Designs and writes technical specifications based on business and project requirements.
Develops custom SAP solutions across a wide spectrum of object types (RICEF) and technologies (ABAP, OO ABAP, BOPF, Fiori, PI/PO, HANA, CDS, OData, AMDP, SAPUI5).
Works closely with SAP functional personnel and cross-functional teams to implement and deploy changes to SAP solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable ABAP code under the guidance of senior developers.
Maintains assigned SAP documentation based on guidance.
Assists with end-to-end testing activities under senior developer guidance.
Provides basic go-live support tasks as assigned by senior developers.
Performs assigned tasks with support from senior developers, working towards performing tasks with increasing independence.
Participates in (and starts to perform) code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices under the supervision of senior developers.
Troubleshoots and resolves SAP application issues with limited supervision.
Stays up to date on the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
Travels to client sites as needed to implement and support SAP solutions.
Tests and troubleshoots to ensure alignment with documented business process and requirements.
Is actively involved in end-to-end testing and go-live activities, such as transport sequencing, go-live support, and hyper care.
Undertake additional related tasks as assigned.
Required Experiences and Skills:
Education, Training, and Experience:
Certificate in MIS, CS, IS, IT or other technical field.
2-4 or more years of experience in SAP development roles.
Experience working with the Department of Defense or other federal agency is a plus.
Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:
An understanding of multiple SAP development tools and techniques (e.g., ABAP, OO ABAP, BOPF, Fiori, PI/PO, HANA, CDL Views, ChaRM, etc.) with the ability to independently design, develop, test, debug, and implement.
Strong technical expertise and experience with software development processes and procedures, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Must be a self-starter and problem solver, capable of functioning in a dynamic, fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Collaborative team player with the ability to connect and work with employees at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired – ability to understand and analyze ABAP code at a functional level.
