Summary
An infrastructure engineer supports virtualization and cloud-based efforts, as well as development and support of tools and processes related to DevSecOps.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist software developers in enhancing existing code baseline to support DevSecOps pipelines
- Enhance pipelines to support new and existing technologies and methodologies
- Support deployment efforts of web applications and Docker containers
- Support improvements to established pipelines and improve automation using orchestration tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps
- Assist development activities to improve security and address critical functional defects
- Collaborate with security related roles within organization to generate required artifacts, develop documentation, and completion of security related checklists, such as STIGs.
- Support configuration efforts of pipeline tool suites, such as Artifactory, SonarQube, Jira, and Confluence.
- Support installation and configuration of various hypervisors, including ESXi
- Use of Infrastructure as Code technologies to provide automated deployments and configuration management of developed environments
- Support Installation and configuration of container-based applications as well as develop and support containerization environments
- Configure networking infrastructure in a secure manner that also supports operational needs
- Support cloud-based deployments
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- B S degree required, B S degree in Engineering or Information Technology related field preferred
- Proficient using Git or other configuration management tools
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware vCenter/ESXi, and Hyper-V
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with simulation product lifecycle
- Knowledge of common DevOps related tools, including Docker, Ansible, and Terraform
