Description

This position provides support to the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Joint Operations Center (JOC) and Special Programs with professional services and operational readiness for the USCYBERCOM mission. Supporting tasks include but are not limited to Current Operations Planning, Incident/Crisis/Contingency Response support, Partnership, and integration support, readiness planning support, mission assurance support, emergency management, COOP planning support, System and COP Integration support, Technical Report - Study/Services, and (Command Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan).

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Candidate shall provide current operations planning support as follows:

1. Transmission, receipt, and tracking of all in and outbound official message traffic and orders.
2. Provide support to include extended workday (more than eight hours per day) during exercise or crisis contingency operations, estimated five to ten times per year.
3. Monitor and review strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions from higher echelon headquarters and make recommendations to ensure compliance and/or consideration in planning efforts.
4. Develop plans and orders through the application of operational art and operational design, and by using the Joint Planning Process (JPP), within the milestones, deliverables, and interaction points for plans developed using Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) activities.
5. Review draft orders for adherence to USCYBERCOM orders coordination and release procedures, provide feedback to Action Officers, and assist in coordinating drafts and approvals.
6. Train USCYBERCOM personnel on the orders coordination process on a recurring basis.
7. Provide input to briefings, transition concepts to execution, and assist the coordination of joint operational planning in support of combat and contingency plans and operations initiatives with USCYBERCOM staff elements and components, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and U.S. Government Agencies, and facilitate a resolution that may span multiple areas of responsibility. Provide input for the development of concepts of operations (CONOPs), courses of action, and documents related to cyberspace operations planning and execution.
8. Participate in Joint Planning Groups, Operational Planning Groups/Teams, and Working Groups to capture and ensure Current Operations equities are met.
9. Develop and maintain a tracking system/database of all orders.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Security Clearance: TS/SCI/CI Poly

Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems management, Computer Science, or related discipline (Additional four (4) years of job-related experience may be substituted for education requirement).

• Desired:
• DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level III Certification
• Specialized education in military joint operations planning through the Joint Information Officer Planning Course (JIOPC), or other similar civilian/military operational planning courses.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in developing recommendations and COAs to solve complex cybersecurity problems including:

• Coordinating network defense operations with DOD Component Commands/Services/Agencies/Field Activities, Intelligence Agencies, Law Enforcement, and U.S. Government organizations. Experience performing research and analysis of cybersecurity capabilities to satisfy data protection requirements.
• Demonstrating expertise on the lifecycle of the network threats, attack vectors and methods of exploitation, the utilization, configuration, and implementation of industry capabilities including web content filters, email security capabilities, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intrusion Prevention System Security Event and Incident Management, Domain Name System security practices, advanced log analysis, network monitoring, network proxies, firewalls, and Access Control Lists, malware analysis reports, and alerts regarding potential malicious activity.
• Coordination and support on cyber-related incidents and issues to include Malware Analysis Reports, Alerts regarding potential malicious activity, and Suspicious Contact Reports.

The team members are required to type using a keyboard and mouse.

The team member is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.

The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
