Role: Data Scientist
Location: 3 days per week in Falls Church, Alexandria or Arlington (any location is fine but must be 3 days onsite)
Duration: 1+ year Contract
Citizenship: Active Secret Clearance
Top Skills: Bachelors’ Degree, Python, EQL, Apache Spark, Qlik or Tableau
Required Skills/Experience:
• Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to various audiences and giving data-driven presentations.
• 5+ years of experience developing in Python and EQL; experience with Apache Spark
• 5+ years of experience developing dashboards using Qlik or Tableau.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience working directly with contracting or FM data sources.
Desired Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Major Duties/Tasks:
• Develop and maintain dashboards according to user requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineering and functional resources to build performant applications to support procurement, FM, and other communities.
• Design, configure, develop, test, and support informatics and data science solutions for various technical use cases.
• Apply analytical methodologies to diagnose data-related challenges, implement solutions, and evaluate performance.
• Document and present requirements, design alternatives, and findings to team members and external stakeholders.
• Develop strategic, baselined data modeling processes and accurately determine cause-and-effect relationships.
• Utilize integrated development environments, data integration, data visualization, data mining, and analysis tools.
