TEKsystems is currently looking to expand our team and is interested in discussing a potential role for you as a Principal Software Engineer in Aurora, CO. This position offers a unique chance to work on cutting-edge projects that directly contribute to the success of the JADC2 mission. As a Principal Software Engineer, you would play a crucial role in developing advanced software solutions, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring seamless integration and deployment of our services.
Basic Qualifications:
· Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
· Experience as a front-end, back-end, or full-stack developer
· Experience developing on teams using Agile methodology, process, and tools
· Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting in Java
· Experience using object oriented design
· Experience using version control software
· Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance required to apply
· Candidate must be able to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly)
Preferred Qualifications:
It is preferred that a given candidate has some of the preferred qualification below. No expectation of all.
· Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting in C++, C, Python, and/or JavaScript
· Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting in virtualized environments (VMs, AWS Cloud Instances)
· Experience with software development on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
· Experience with Dockerization and Container Management (Dockers and Kubernetes)
· Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
· Experience with AWS Services
· Experience with software system integration, testing, and deployment, including but not limited to automation
· Experience with DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering
Clearance Level: Top-Secret/SCI Eligibility
· This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret)
· Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required
· Candidate must be able to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly)
Pay:
This position is able to pay up to $150,000 for the contract position we have available at TEKsystems to be a Principal Software Engineer for our DOD Customer in Aurora, CO.
