The Senior Program/Project Manager is responsible for resource management, client satisfaction, personnel assignment, oversight, and supervision; contractor budgets and reporting; planning, and tools and controls.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the overall direction of the program. Liaison between the contract, subcontract, and government.
• Accountable for ensuring contract deliverables are submitted on time and within established quality criteria.
• Accountable for all staff performance and behavior.
• Provides strategic, expert advice and consultation on program activities to ensure efficient implementation of internal processes and procedures.
• Manages short- and long-term organizational goals.
• Monitors and evaluates staff and program effectiveness.
• Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
• Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
• Has domain and expert technical knowledge.
• Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
• Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
• Manage the overall performance of the project and personnel.
• Plans, initiates, and manages information technology (IT) projects.
• Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
• Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
• Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
• Monitors progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
Requirements:
• MUST be a US Citizen
• Minimum of 15 years related experience
• Minimum of 8 years in a Management role
• Must hold one or more of the following certifications:
o Project Management Professional (PMP)
o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
o Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
o Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP)
o GIAC Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC)
