Job Description
***Only consultants with an active Secret clearance can be considered for this role
We are looking for one Sr. Network Engineer who will provide support for an ongoing program at PMW 790. This Network Engineer will serve on a team of technical Engineers in support of VSE program. Candidates will be involved in the planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks that includes requirements analysis; trade-off studies; and optimizing network/system performance.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, presentation, and writing skills. They will have a proven track record of being a problem solver and team player who is capable of working in a technically challenging environment.
All Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree preferably in Engineering, It or Mathematics.
• US citizen with at minimum a Secret clearance; TS/SCI would be best.
• Must be open to travel CONUS and OCONUS (OCONOUS Travel is 4-6 weeks) Travel is sometime once a year if that, it all depends on the Navy schedule.
• Experience with Navy/ DoD Networks and processes
• Standard Networking protocols
• Looking for CCNP Level Engineers
• Strong in-depth Routing/Protocol
• Experience leading/mentoring Mid Level Network Engineers is a plus
• Ability to install and configure physical components for virtual environment; Switches (VLAN), VM Servers, Virtual Storage Systems
• Establishing and diagnosing WAN connections with DISA
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of a DoD network
• Supporting large scale network instantiations through vendor product evaluation and cost versus performance studies
Applying STIGs to a network configuration and participated in validation using RMF to obtain an ATO for classified network
Additional Skills & Qualifications
***Please note that their will be international travel and it is usually one trip a year. Consultants must be okay with about 4-6 week of travel with plenty of notice given.
All consultants will be given 2 weeks of PTO, 5 sick days and will be compensated for the 11 federal/national holidays as well.

Most of the environments that they are working in are Cisco and the travel could be to any where Pacific Fleet is located.

This is a new team that we are building to support the existing team but there will be a lot of cross training from the existing team. They are working on a project called VSE which is providing virtual secure environment for our sailors so they are not transferring classified information off the ship during deployments.
