JOB DESCRIPTION:
As the Command-and-Control System Administrator, you will be a critical member of our Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of hardware and software systems essential for TACP operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- upgrading network configurations, implementing security interface updates, and meticulously documenting system designs.
- Providing technical support and guidance to TACP personnel on system-related issues and best practices.
- Tasking may include but not limited to: Support the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing of network configuration and security.
- Set-up, configure, operate, and maintain C2 systems for TACP Systems.
- Implement security interface updates to safeguard sensitive information and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide on-site operations and training support.
- Provide troubleshooting and document resolution for issues encountered during FMF operations, system integration, test preparation and execution, engineering, and training efforts.
- Development of documentation to include but not limited to: test plans, configuration guides, and operation reports.
- Support daily operational requirements of computer network systems including computers, routers, tactical radios, and servers on classified and unclassified networks.
- Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network configuration, network security, interface and updates, and system design documentation.
- Development of Programmatic system network architectures documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least three (3) years' experience performing System Administration for the DoD. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Ideal candidate would possess minimum three years' experience operating, testing, administration, or maintaining Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) systems or similar such as Common Aviation Command & Control System (CAC2S), Composite Tracking Network (CTN), or Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS).
- Must meet the DoDM 8140.03 qualification standards for Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CSWF) certificate.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD information Assurance requirements to provide support in implanting policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of one or more Military Standards (MIL-STD), i.e., Link-16 (MIL-STD-6016), JREAP (MIL-STD-3011), and/or VMF (MIL-STD-6017).
- Working knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting of Cisco routing and switching.
- Experience administering VMware ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Windows Server Operating Systems.
- Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
