TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the router team for the 26th NOS at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the gateway, routers, and switches for the AFINC program.
- Resolves network problems; operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment, and network simulators.
- Monitors data or voice system networks for various messages, alarms, or issues.
- Activates scripts as alarms occur or issues surface.
- Confirms accuracy of messages, alarms, or issues and/or determines severity of problem, issue, or alarm.
- Initiates resolution as appropriate.
- Executes scheduled maintenance routines in accordance with standard procedures.
- Develop LAN/WAN network designs to accommodate a data center migration.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues such as performance analysis, protocol problems, hardware failures and WAN/LAN connectivity issues.
Requirements:
- Secret Clearance
- CompTIA Security+
- At least one of the following CE/OS DCWF requirements:
- Cisco CCNP Routing and Switching
- Cisco CCNP ENARSI
- Cisco CCNO ENSDWI
- Cisco CCNO ENSLD
- 5-7+ years of progressively responsible network engineering hands-on experience with Cisco platforms.
- Experience with Cisco routing/switching platforms and IOS.
- Experience with network topologies such as Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, GbE VLAN, and SONET.
- Experience in implementing converged networks to include VoIP, VTC and QoS methods.
- Bachelor's degree in a Business Management or MIS related field preferred.
