Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire a Watch Officer to support our government client in Alexandria, VA. Candidates must be analytical thinkers and produce error-free and accurate reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintaining situational awareness of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) related events, incidents, and threats
- Producing incident reports, creating reporting products, and supplying briefs
- Maintaining a database, tracking incidents, and ensuring reports are timely and accurate
- Analyzing data and reporting all findings accordingly
- Producing limited Geographic Information Systems (GIS) imagery to support reporting products
- Reviewing and updating briefs as needed
- Updating watch turnover/pass-down report
- Participating in the daily Operations Calls
- Drafting the Daily Operational Summary Report, Daily Briefing Slides, and other essential reporting products
- Requesting data from Federal Protection Service (FPS) and DHS entities as needed
- Accessing, navigating, and utilizing law enforcement databases such as WebRMS, LEIMS, EIS, HSDN, HSIN, MIST
- Ability to accommodate shift work which may require working nights, weekends, and holidays
- Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to client
- Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support
REQUIRED EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelor's Degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Holds an active Secret Clearance
- Three or more years of experience in operation centers, emergency management, dispatch, or as a first responder (law enforcement/fire/rescue)
- Ability to obtain a DHS Suitability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a 24x7x365 shift environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
DESIRED EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
