JOB SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support for the AFPSL and Technical Order functions. Designs, develops and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment and machinery.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support for the AFPSL and Technical Order functions. Designs, develops and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment and machinery.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in metrology or related discipline.
- Working knowledge of metrology theory, principles, and practices in assigned measurement areas.
- Understanding of theory and application of measurement uncertainty analysis.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.
- Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
