Summary
We are seeking a Land Mobile Radio Technician to support the DHS FLETC program in Brunswick, GA. In this role you will join a technically diverse team to include, but not limited to Help Desk Specialists, Network Engineers, System Administrators, and Database Professionals. Together, this team provides IT Operations and Support to FLETC which is responsible for training law enforcement professionals from over 90 different agencies.

Summary
We are seeking a Land Mobile Radio Technician to support the DHS FLETC program in Brunswick, GA. In this role you will join a technically diverse team to include, but not limited to Help Desk Specialists, Network Engineers, System Administrators, and Database Professionals. Together, this team provides IT Operations and Support to FLETC which is responsible for training law enforcement professionals from over 90 different agencies.
Responsibilities
- Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, configure, update and program the Land Mobile Radios (LMR) both Conventional and Trunking; Motorola XTS/XTL Series (Old) and the Motorola APX 6000,7000 and 8000 Series (New).
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 LMR support
- Programming Motorola (APX Family) radios
- Configure radio trunking systems
- Manage the HEAT system to include entering and managing tickets
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma and two years of experience working in a technical support capacity
- Knowledge and familiarity with Land Mobile Radios
- Must be able to pass the Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation
- Must be able to work onsite in Glynco, GA.
