Solar Power - Construction Manager, Kigali, Rwanda
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating overseas construction projects, ensuring they meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
Key duties include managing contractor performance, reviewing project plans, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and resolving construction issues. The manager works closely with the OBO Project Director, monitoring contractor submittals, change orders, and progress reports, while ensuring proper documentation and contractor licensing. Additionally, the role involves contract administration, quality assurance, and participating in project meetings to support the successful completion of the construction projects. Expertise in civil construction and solar projects is preferred.
Requirements:
BS Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineer, or Construction Management from an accredited university in the United States
Secret Clearance or Top Secret Clearance
A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience on construction projects of similar scope and value to the project supported by this Task Order. In addition to a Construction Management (CM) degree,
Candidates with demonstrated experience in Construction Management who possess ME, EE, Architecture and CE degrees will also be considered.
Experience in Civil Construction and special expertise with solar projects, site grading, parking/pavement is preferred.
