The candidate for this position will work within our team to support our government Information Technology (IT) program with our Fort Novosel client. As a VOIP System Administrator you will be an integral part in ensuring the successful operations and maintenance of the computer systems and server team at Fort Novosel.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Function
- Installation, operation, and maintenance of voice and infrastructure service
- Deploy and troubleshoot VOIP tools - Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
- Support the project and/or site manager as Technical Advisor during meetings as required.
- Performs preventative maintenance services on all devices within the VoIP area of responsibility.
- Ensures all voice applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner
- Experience with deployment and maintenance of SIP trunks
- Experience developing and implementing QOS in a converged Voice/Video/Data Network
- Identifies and diagnoses issues, outages, and factors affecting voice services
- Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in voice and video services
- Perform system back-ups and restore functions
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors.
- Work on-call shift rotations with other members of the NEC
Experience:
- CUCM systems experience
- Operation and maintenance of Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection
- Familiarity with T-BERD test equipment for T1 Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT)
- Knowledge of rectifiers, which convert AC to DC
- Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
- Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Preferred 2-4 years’ experience
