DESCRIPTION
Where: Ramstein Air Base Germany
Clearance: TS/SCI
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for enhancing logistics readiness/mobilization and support effectiveness through policy input, development and analyses of Operational Plans (OPLANs), Contingency Plans (CONPLAN), and Expeditionary Site Plans (ESP).
• Conducts and coordinates logistics planning efforts that impact USAFE and USEUCOM. Conducts Expeditionary Combat Support planning and supportability assessments. Identifies and helps resolve complex logistics problems in the European area of responsibility.
• Participates in and may lead multi-service planning efforts. Leads logistically focused Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) in identifying, analyzing, and developing feasible solutions to future logistics readiness requirements.
• Solves operational logistics supportability problems, including logistics deployment, sustainment, and redeployment of USAF forces into and out of the EUCOM theater.
• Provides advice to leadership in reference to significant issues and problems that could impact the achievement of operational goals and objectives.
• Assists the organization by evaluating modifications to existing plans in response to changing environments.
• Represents USAFE at USAF, EUCOM, and other Joint Service readiness planning conferences. Prepares plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs and participates with senior analysts in fiscal planning and programming.
Skillset:
• Develops operational plans and concepts. Designs data collection requirements to support operational planning. Provides advice and recommendations to high level officials regarding operational plans and concepts.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of directly related military experience; OR 15 years of directly related military experience.
