Responsibilities:

• Acquisition and Space Systems: Expertise in acquiring highly classified space control systems and space systems.
• Defense Acquisition and Source Selection: Proven experience in supporting Defense Acquisition Boards, major source selections for ACAT-like programs, and Acquisition Milestones.
• Air Force Contracting and Financial Management: In-depth knowledge of Air Force contracting and financial management.
• Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership abilities to guide and lead teams of acquisition and systems engineering professionals.
• Contract Management: Skilled in preparing, negotiating, accepting, and managing government contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Policy and Procedure Development: Ability to recommend and establish policies and procedures that impact the organization.

Education/Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must possess an Active security clearance (Top Secret or TS/SCI), and be located in or willing to relocate to Colorado Springs, CO, El Segundo, CA or Huntsville AL.
• 8+ years of experience working in at least one of the following roles:
  • Contract Specialist
  • Senior Contracts Manager
  • Senior Acquisition Contracting Specialist
  • Contracts Principal
  • DAG (Defense Acquisition Guidelines) Specialist
  • Acquisition SME
  • Program Acquisition Operations Analyst
  • Senior Acquisition Specialist
• Past or present experience with SSC or mission partner space control or space situational awareness mission area programs.
• Proven experience in project planning and management, including budget development, schedule management, and performance standard setting, as well as ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are met, with a focus on productivity, quality, and client satisfaction.
