Salary: $26.20/hour - part-time - 24 hrs/wk - may include weekends
LME, VA, is seeking a part-time monitor for rotating shifts to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers. Responsibilities include:
- front desk and reception area including answering phone.
- escort within facility.
- alarm monitor for 24/7 surveillance - operates a security control center by monitoring surveillance, access control, fire alarm, and HVAC systems - monitors access points and equipment.
- Notifies appropriate personnel during events affecting the facility.
- Makes detailed reports of incidents, violations, suspicious circumstances, and unsatisfactory conditions.
- Keeps current on information affecting security operations by reading the standard operating procedures, reports, security policies, memorandums, and emails to stay informed.
Required Skills include:
- Current Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Must be able to sit and walk for long periods of time and withstand any weather conditions.
- Knowledgeable in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education includes:
- High School Diploma.
- 1-2 years of experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
