- Technical Support
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage service requests, incidents, and problems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Offer guidance and training to users on the efficient use of IT systems and tools.
- Network Operations
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues, including connectivity, latency, and security vulnerabilities.
- Implement network upgrades, patches, and configurations in line with organizational standards and security protocols.
- Systems Administration
- Administer and maintain servers, storage solutions, and virtual environments.
- Perform system backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure that all systems are compliant with DoD policies and guidelines, including regular updates and security patches.
- Data Administration
- Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
- Perform data migrations, backups, and recovery operations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to optimize data storage and retrieval processes.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network operations, systems administration, or data administration.
- Previous experience in a classified environment with a focus on DoD IT operations is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across various platforms, including Windows, Linux, and network environments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking protocols.
- Experience with systems administration tasks, including user management, file permissions, and server maintenance.
- Familiarity with database management and administration, including SQL, backup, and recovery.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
