A week in the life of aFighter SMEincludes:

• All aspects of A/A fighter mission planning and execution of all A/A aspects of ECC operations.
• Oversee all A/A centric LVC-OT missions that the DTOC produces.
• Participate as Event Controller for multiple LVC-OT event types while maintaining focus on A/A events to include:
  • Conduct mission briefing, execution and debriefing, and post mission documentation
• Provide A/A expertise in support of DTOC mission planning cell to include:
  • Create scenarios within Environment Generator software
  • Coordinate with NOC personnel for ECC set-up
  • Troubleshoot operations related software and hardware issues
• Provide academic briefings as coordinated with Training Manager
• Support meetings as DTOC A/A Fighter SME.
• Advise DTOC Leadership on LVC-OT events and A/A operations related issues.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 8-10 years of experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree
• Secret Clearance
• Minimum three (3) years' experience conducting training in a DMO environment
• Current or previous Weapons School or Top Gun Graduate, air-to-air instructor pilotand minimum five (5) years operational air-to-air experience
• Current or previous fighter aircraft pilot or weapons system operator with robust air-to-air background
• Must be currently or previously qualified in USAF, USN, or USMC fighter aircraft.
• Must be knowledgeable in 5 th Gen fighter employment to incorporate into daily customer mission catalogs and part of SME academics program
