Essential Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units.
• Use testing equipment in order to detect malfunctioning parts and identify necessary repairs.
• Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
• Replace or modify air conditioners, duct distribution systems, and related piping and electrical to meet or exceed the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Have the ability to install chilled waters systems (understanding of supply, return and condensate piping) using copper, PVC and steel pipe.
• Have the ability to install Multi-evaporator/DX systems.
• Have the ability to install metal and flexible duct systems (Supply, Return, Fresh Air)
• Read blueprints and follow design specifications for installing an HVAC system, in both new and existing buildings.
• Experience in government regulations concerning the recycling of refrigerants, including the proper handling and disposal of all relevant fluids and gases.
Requirements:
• TS Clearance
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and the ability to interpret mechanical schematics.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in the trade.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
Physical Demands:
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
