Essential Area of Responsibility:

• Onsite contract representative would serve as Exercise and Experimentation Planner for Remote Autonomous Systems (RAS).

General Functions/Duties:
• Provide expertise on remote autonomous systems, naval warfare, and/or experimentation.
• Conduct exercise and experimentation event/initiative planning, design, and execution.
• Develop final experiment reports based on analytical rigor.
• Develop post-experiment doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF) change recommendations.
• Coordinate with principal stakeholders.
• Assist and advise in aligning and coordinating initiatives.
• Provide technical and tactical subject matter expertise to government and contractor leads.
• Assist in developing exercise and experiment objectives, plans, and recommended courses of action throughout the event lifecycle.
• Participate in all phases of event planning, including assisting in executing the Concept Development Conference, Initial Planning Conference, Main Planning Conference, Final Planning Conference, Execution, and Post Execution activities.
• Assist in event knowledge management using government-provided portals or websites for event, initiative, and analysis document development.
• Conduct rigorous concept development analysis and evaluation, including examination of various proposals/positions or tests.
• Prepare and staff senior-level (06/Flag/SES) correspondence and briefs.

Experience:
• 10 years of experience with military operations
 • Experience with exercise or experiment planning
 • Tactical experience as a Navy line officer
 • Experience as a staff officer on a CSG, Numbered or Major Fleet staff, or equivalent
• Active TS/SCI, U.S. citizen

Preferred experience:
 • RAS

Education:
•  Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree; 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
