CAT II Japanese linguist support services for U.S. Forces in the USINDOPACOM area of responsibility working with multinational forces. Will need to transcribe, translate, and interpret information gathered from a variety of sources to meet ongoing, new, or changing mission and operational requirements.
Applicant Requirements
1. A N1level rating on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is required.
2. 3-5 Years of previous translation experience required.
3. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and/or certification from an accredited institution or organization specializing in translation or interpretation.
4. Linguists must have demonstrated experience in supporting high-level military and government personnel in a variety of settings such as meetings, conferences, exercises, and negotiations.
5. Linguists must be proficient in providing both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services.
