One Federal Solution is seeking a talented Electronic Technician II to join our team in the Marshall Islands. The Electronic Technician will provide radar support within a US Army Base.
Task and Duties:
Repair, overhaul, and modify ground radar systems including analog-to-digital interface systems such as STRAP, etc.
Isolate malfunctions by prescribed systems check procedures, visual inspections, voltage checks and other tests using electronic test equipment.
Accomplish organizational and intermediate-level equipment modifications according to time compliance technical orders (TCTOs).
Assemble, install, and repair antenna systems, transmission lines, and wave guides.
Performing corrosion control
Ensuring maintenance data collection forms, inspections and maintenance records are accurately completed.
Maintain Facilities Status Records.
Independently verify the operational condition of radar and integrated system to be within prescribed parameters in accordance with (IAW) applicable Technical Order/Manual or directive (commercial manuals, FAA Orders, and CEMIs).
Repair, adjust and align radar and integrated system to pass re-certification and periodic flight checks.
Repair, adjust, and align interface equipment for radar display in the control tower.
Set up and use standard and advanced radar test equipment and be familiar with technical manuals.
Provide mentorship and supervise Electronics Technicians l.
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance is required.
Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in electronics repair, maintenance, and testing air traffic control (ATC) surveillance radar systems.
High School diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on ATC radar systems and related equipment, inspecting equipment at specified intervals determining operational status, replacing defective components, performing operational checks, and maintaining inspection and maintenance records.
Preferred Skills:
Minimum of three (3) years of "hands-on” work experience repairing, overhauling, and modifying ground radar systems, including automated radar tracking systems; isolating malfunctions by prescribed systems checking procedures, visual inspections, voltage checks and other tests using electronic test equipment; accomplishing organizational and intermediate level equipment modifications according to time compliance technical orders; assembling, installing, and repairing antenna systems, transmission lines, and wave-guides; performing corrosion control; ensuring maintenance data collection forms and inspections and maintenance records are accurately completed; repairing, adjusting and aligning interface equipment for radar display in control tower.
