Responsibilities:
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
◦ Gather information from end users and work with software developers to answer user questions and to solve user issues.
◦ Obtain technical data from independent observation, research, review with technical staff members, and studies of published materials and existing documentation.
◦ Work with subject matter experts (SMEs), analysts, programmers, and other technical staff to obtain relevant information on technologies, methods, and standards of software, applications, and systems.
◦ Interface with a diverse group of end users to understand and resolve user issues with the system.
◦ Document and track user issue resolution in ticketing system and leverage this data to develop FAQs and other knowledge management materials.
◦ Create, edit, and manage material prepared by other writers.
◦ Perform quality assurance on all materials.
◦ Demonstrate and leverage effective questioning, written communication, verbal communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and technical writing skills.
• Required Qualifications:
◦ 2+ years of experience in a role that requires technical writing, such as a Technical Writer, Configuration Manager, Systems Engineer, Knowledge Manager, Instructional Designer, Technical Trainer, or similar role.
◦ 2+ years of experience with creating documents that effectively communicate highly technical material to non-technical audiences.
◦ Experience with research and analysis.
◦ Experience successfully managing multiple projects and delivering on tight deadlines.
◦ Bachelor's Degree or High School diploma plus additional 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Preferred Qualifications:
◦ Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
◦ Familiarity with the Assessment & Authorization Process
