Hutto, TX (On/Off-Site)
The Security Technician will be responsible for the installation of end user security systems. The role requires at least 2 years of experience, technical aptitude, and professional appearance. The security division is composed of products and services related to VSS (Video Surveillance Systems), ACS (Access Control Systems), and IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems). Projects include schools, high rise office buildings, and other commercial buildings throughout the Hutto area.
Requirements
· Manufacturer experience including but not limited to: Bosch, Genetech, Etc. Certifications a plus.
· Must have reliable transportation to and from work (no company vehicle)
· Texas Alarm License required
· Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints accurately.
· Demonstrated ability to work successfully independently and in a group setting.
· Understanding of the standard tools used in the division.
o Hand tools
o Power tools
o Digital Multi-Meter
· Understanding of cable routing standards
· Cable installation
· Pathway installation
· Basic understanding of installation techniques, including but not limited to:
o Wire stripping
o Wire terminations
o Edge device terminations
· System theory and low-mid level understanding of:
o Electrical theory
o ACS (Access Control Systems)
o VSS (Video Surveillance Systems)
o IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems)
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
· OSHA 10, preferred but not required for hire.
· Aerial lift certification.
· Fall protection certification/training.
Physical Requirements
· Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.
· Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
· Able to work on a ladder up 8 hours.
· Able to work in confined spaces.
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 10 hour shifts with the day typically starting at 7:00 am
Occasional overtime available
