Our Systems Engineer - Technical Advisor (SETA) spearheads the discovery and delivery of innovative technical solutions for critical mission needs. As part of a mission integration team, the SETA will serve as a key advisor and liaison, relying on deep technical and operational expertise to provide strategic insight into systems and capabilities. A SETA candidate will be a communicative self-starter who takes the initiative to solve complex technical problems and follows through in the delivery of solutions.

To keep breaking barriers and redefining what's possible, we're looking for candidates with the following exceptional technical capabilities:
  • Provide comprehensive acquisition and program management support to the customer.
  • Diligently refine and document requirements with end users, developers, and project leads.
  • Draft conceptual requirements, diagrams, testing, metrics, and acceptance criteria using industry best practices and facilitate the coordination of project approvals.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and provide mitigation strategies to risks associated with the acquisition and implementation of capabilities.
  • Assist in the oversight of deliverables and support contract management activities.
  • Apply critical thinking to analyze projects and programs to identify technical risks that may affect the successful delivery of the developed capability.
  • Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, project managers, and customers.
  • Validate compliance and acceptance criteria. On occasion, work with test teams to create ad hoc testing to properly characterize capabilities in anticipated use cases.
  • Establish relationships with vendor and customer entities to facilitate collaboration and creative solutioning.


  • Mid-Level:
    • Five (5+) years of recent experience in a systems engineer technical advisor role.
    • Graduated from an accredited four-year college or university. Related work experience may substitute for education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
    • Must be US Citizen.
    • TS/SCI with poly.
    • Demonstrated project and portfolio management expertise.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices as they relate to the customer's acquisition and contracts management processes.
    • Demonstrated communication skills that demonstrate the ability to liaise with users, customers, and all levels of management.
    • Experience in applying critical thinking to conduct analysis and evaluations associated with strategic mission goals and desired outcomes.
    • Ability to provide unbiased recommendations and assist with preparing analytic aids, briefings, reports, and presentations.
    • Ability to develop and maintain project documentation and diagrams using industry best practices.
    • Ability to support multiple projects, tasks, and deliverables.
    • Comfortable in supporting a dynamic environment subject to political, technical, and fiscal limitations.
    • Successful experience in developing comprehensive project plans that transition research concepts into effective capabilities.
  • Expert:
    • Eight (8+) years of recent experience in a systems engineer technical advisor role.
    • Graduated from an accredited four-year college or university. Related work experience may substitute for education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
    • Must be US Citizen.
    • TS/SCI with poly.
    • Demonstrated project and portfolio management expertise.
    • Knowledge and expertise of industry standards and best practices as they relate to the customer's acquisition and contracts management processes.
    • Proven communication skills that demonstrate the ability to liaise with users, customers, and all levels of management.
    • Proven experience in applying critical thinking to conduct analysis and evaluations associated with strategic mission goals and desired outcomes.
    • Ability to provide unbiased recommendations and assist with preparing analytic aids, briefings, reports, and presentations.
    • Ability to develop and maintain project documentation and diagrams using industry best practices.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple projects, tasks, and deliverables.
