Epsilon Systems Solutions has an opening for a Senior Deck Equipment Technician III in San Diego, CA.

Summary: This position will provide both classroom and shipboard practical maintenance training on deck equipment on all classes of Surface ships within the Pacific Fleet operating area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in conducting a systems-knowledge Pre-Test evaluation for assigned systems for Ship's Force attending training.
  • Assists in providing classroom training on theory and systems operation and maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Assists in providing deck-plate practical training period (dependent on the ship class and system size) using live system operation and preventative maintenance actions as a training opportunity.
  • Assists in conducting system knowledge Post-Test evaluation for the Ship's Force personnel attending training.
  • Assists ship's force in performing necessary adjustments, repairs and testing to components and equipment IAW NAVSEA technical manuals guidance, ICMP, and PMS.
  • Provides recommendations for correction of deficiencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Twelve (12) years' experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of naval deck equipment required including:
  • Six (6) years' experience in a position of supervisory responsibility over a subordinate work force involved in the physical maintenance and operation of deck systems.
  • One (1) year of experience as a technical instructor
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $32.30 to $35.00 Per Hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

ADA:

  • Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of occasional noise.
  • Must have manual and finger dexterity; able to grasp, manipulate, assemble small objects.
  • Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways, and up and down antenna masts/yardarms (onboard ships). Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs in weight.
  • Office, warehouse, laboratory, pier side, shipboard noise conditions range from very quiet to loud noise.
