DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electronics Technician Maintenance III applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex
problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar
documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry,
evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering; changes.
Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent
judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing
relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators,
frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be
reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide
technical guidance to lower level technicians.
Experience performing overhauls and repairs on any of the following shipboard electronics systems:
High Frequency (HF), Radio Frequency (RF), High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG), Digital Modular Radio
(DMR), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Tactical Air Navigation System (TACAN), Electronic Support
Measures (ESM), or Naval Shipboard Antenna Systems.
Operational knowledge of URN-25, WSC-3, USQ-122, SSR-1, URT-23, DAMA, WRL-8, STC-2 a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Six (6) years recent C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair,
installation and deinstallation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables,
cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes.
Must be willing to work a second shift schedule (shift ends at 10pm).
PREFERRED SKILLS
Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2008 and 2015.
Highest Formal Education Required: High School
Field of Study: 2 yrs of in an industry trade school or civilian college in electronics.

Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
Compensation: $34.99 - $36.76 an hour.
