HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, build, and upgrade Windows server systems across the organization.
Provide day-to-day support for Windows systems, services, and performances.
Perform vulnerability management on physical/virtual servers and systems.
Perform migration, backups, and recovery of Windows systems.
Develop documentation and training for systems and tasks related to Windows systems.
Provide for the configuration and deployment of new software related to the infrastructure environment, such as backup/recovery systems and security.
Create and plan migration process to support applications hosted by the Windows/Linux systems.
Complete system security checklists, patches, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting and documentation of equipment required to maintain the environments.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience building and configuring physical Windows servers.
Experience building and configuring Windows servers in a VMWare environment.
Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server 2016-2022.
Advanced knowledge of Active Directory.
Ability to administer and upgrade Windows servers.
Ability to install and configure hosted applications and services on Windows servers.
Experience using Windows PowerShell.
Advanced skills in problem solving.
Good work ethic and an active desire to learn.
Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
Advanced knowledge with administrating Ivanti Security Controls.
Experience with Tenable Nessus tools/reports.
Experience with Host Based Security Systems (ESS).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with DISA STIGs and their relation to Windows security.
Prior experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
Prior experience of RSA SecurID multifactor authentication services.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 4+ years of experience.
Required: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)
