Responsibilities
- The applicant will help define military space system scope, requirements, configurations, and identify, track, and quantify technical, cost, and schedule risks for the United States Space Force Innovation and Prototyping Acquisition Delta (SSC/SZI).
- The applicant will be responsible for developing and delivering cost estimates for space defense acquisition related projects
- Applicant will be responsible for creating estimates using ACEIT software
- Applicant will be responsible for understanding EVM and other techniques to monitor/extrapolate cost/schedule performance during mission execution
- The applicant should be familiar with stochastic modeling and have an understanding of how to apply sophisticated statistical and analytical techniques and convey the meaning of the results to DOD decision makers.

Skills Required
- The position requires at least 10 years of combined industry and government acquisition experience of which 4 years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of space programs. Can tradeoff education based on experience.
- Applicant must have a strong understanding of system engineering, subsystem technical relationships, engineering trades, technology development and risk and system maturity
- Applicant must be proficient in performing cost estimating activities such as cost analysis, statistical analysis, WBS development, and risk analysis
- Applicant should be proficient in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required
- Applicants will also be familiar with cost estimating principles/DoD acquisition policies
- Applicants should also have a working knowledge of the DoD acquisition and project management process, a working knowledge of earned value management and scheduling
- Knowledge of DoD Budget cycle is desirable, knowledge of quantitative analytic techniques, and a strong working knowledge of ACEIT is highly desirable.
- Secret security clearance required, Top Secret clearance desirable.
- Master's Degree (B/S) in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics. U.S. citizenship required.
