Marathon TS is looking for a Business Analayst to support our efforts at Client.

Task Description:
  • Requirements Elaboration and Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for application sustainment, maintenance, and enhancements.
    • Analyze and prioritize requirements to ensure they align with project goals and federal government regulations.
    • Work closely with development and design teams to translate business requirements into user stories that meet the need of the end users.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
    • Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, end users, product owners, and the program team.
    • Prepare regular status reports and presentations to keep stakeholders informed about backlog grooming activities, project progress, and work forecasting.
  • Program/Process Evaluation
    • Conduct upfront analysis of use cases to better understand concerns and expectations so to inform POs of application enhancement opportunities.
    • Establish baseline performance measures to evaluate impact of change efforts.
    • Define, evaluate, and inform continuous process improvement to ensure seamless transition of an idea throughout its journey to becoming an actionable initiative to enhance program operations.

Required skills/Level of Experience :
  • At least 3-5 years experience working as a business analyst
  • At least 3-5 years experience working in natural hazard risk assessment and mitigation, National Flood Insurance Program, and resilience space
  • At least 3-5 years experience using written communication skills, change management techniques and facilitating stakeholder meetings


Nice to have skills:
  • Experience working with or for federal agency, specifically FEMA
  • Experience working with application lifecycle management and tracking tools, such as Jira
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with program evaluation methodologies
