Adsync Technologies, Inc., is currently seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer. This position is remote supporting the Navy.
Adsync Technologies, Inc. has supported the government contracting industry for more than fifteen (15) years. Our continuous and rapid growth is attributable to the caliber of employees Adsync strives to hire and retain.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
The current architecture uses JSP/HTML/XML and Angular for the Frontend, Java 8 for Middleware and Oracle 19 for the database. The frontend with Middleware is hosted on Apache/Tomcat server. Git is used as version control and Ant/Jenkins is used for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment CI/CD (DevSecOps pipeline). Automated testing is performed by Selenium while static code analysis is done by SonarQube on the test server.
Developers use Eclipse IDE to write frontend and backend code. They use SonarLint locally to do static code analysis and performance testing on their local with Tomcat and Oracle db.
After meeting the functional requirements, the code is checked in Git and Jenkins automatically deploys the code Test environment for QA (Test team) to perform testing. SonarQube performs static code analysis and Selenium testing is done during this deployment. On successful testing the code is ready for production release which is performed on a quarterly basis using Jenkins.
Currently, technologies are being evaluated as follows:
• Angular Javascript front end
• Rest API technology with Spring Boot middleware
• Ant/Jenkins and Docker for the CI/CD process
• Docker Swarm and/or Kubernetes will be used to manage Docker containers
Responsibilities include:
• Designing and developing database driven IT applications for Navy systems
• Develop, update, enhance, and maintain IT software code, structures, scripts, and system configurations for web and client-server type applications
• Provide troubleshooting assistance and analysis to customers and other activities for application, database, software, hardware and/or interface related issues
• Operate within Navy guidance and policies to maintain the operational status of the system, correct faults, introduce enhancements, improve performance, consolidate, or to adapt the system to changing environments or requirements
• Provide CCB with documentation on code, testing, configuration changes, errors and resolutions
QUALIFICATIONS
4 or more years of experience with IT related field
2 or more years of experience in one or more software languages:
Java/J2EE
Angular
.net
HTML/XML
IAT Level I certification (Security + or equivalent)
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Information Science
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Project
Ability to work independently
Excellent oral and written communication
