Position Description

Under the direction of the NAWCWD Intelligence Branch Head and the Scientific and Technical Intelligence Liaison Officer (STILO), the incumbent serves as a point of contact within the command for requests for intelligence (threat information and materials) and responses to issues or questions concerning the Intelligence Community (IC) and/or national intelligence information. The incumbent fields requests for intelligence from the NAWCWD technical and operational community; performs research and analysis using the IC and all necessary sources; and disseminates intelligence information in the form of specially prepared reports and briefings. The incumbent assists the STILO in the coordination of communications between the command and the National Intelligence Community using visits, briefings, video-teleconferences, secure phone and fax, etc. This position requires an understanding of the National Intelligence Community organization and operations, a working knowledge of the rules and regulations associated with the handling of classified information, and familiarity with the technologies, tactics and countermeasures associated with weapon system employment. The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing. The incumbent performs these duties with guidance from the supervisor and team leads.
