Position Description
Responsible for maintenance, support, system design, automation and disaster recovery of organizational computer systems ensuring compliance with applicable JSIG standards.
• Perform work related to multiple platforms, virtualization, databases, and applications, including Windows 2016/2019 Server, Unix/Linux, scripting languages, PowerShell, and legacy systems and applications.
• Perform system hardening to include applications, operating system, firmware, databases and network
• Manage accounts, network rights and access to systems and equipment
• Manage system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, recoverability
• Configure and Manage network switches
• Configure and maintain computer clusters including highly available, load balancing and high performance computing
• Maintain technical safeguards on all Information Systems
• Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
• Maintain system architecture diagram, hardware inventory and software inventory accuracy within a 30-day threshold.
• Provide guidance to team members, agencies and leadership.
• Train team members or update/maintain training materials or deskbooks.
• Integrate DOD cybersecurity policies and guidelines during the development of cybersecurity frameworks supporting mission efforts.
• Routinely ensuring comprehensive cybersecurity measures are implemented, followed and recorded in a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor information systems and user compliance in accordance with organizational policies
