Naval Research Laboratory, DC (On-Site/Office)
i3 is seeking a VMWare Solutions Architect to support the Naval Research Lab in Washington, DC. The selected applicant will provide troubleshooting support as well as engineering and solution architecting of VMWare vSphere and Horizon VDI environments in a research and development environment.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain virtualized infrastructure using VMWare vSphere and Horizon technologies.
Provide technical expertise supporting information system components and enterprise environments.
Assist in maintaining system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
Conduct day-to-day system administration of the hardware and software in a software test and integration lab.
Diagnose and correct computer, server, and network system issues.
Perform other IT duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution in a relevant technical discipline or three (3) or more years of relevant technical experience.
Must have experience setting up and maintaining VMWare vSphere for VM cluster management.
Must have experience setting up and maintaining VMWare Horizon VDI environments.
Must possess CompTIA Security+ (SY0-501 or newer) or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Strong Help Desk Support/IT Support background.
Experience implementing DoD STIGs.
Experience with SCAP, ACAS, and HBSS a plus.
Experience with Windows Active Directory and Windows Server 2019.
Experience with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Experience with RHEL or CentOS 7/8.
Strong experience with VMware, ESXi, Horizon, and vCenter.
Clearance Requirements:
Active Top Secret clearance with Tier 5 background investigation.
