Our Sterling VA based client is looking for a Remedy Developer. This is a contract to perm position.
Position Description
Please not that this position is identified as three months temp-to-perm hire.
Our client is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our TSA IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. Will provide a variety of IT services through IMPACT including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services. Will support TSA in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments increasing availability and security for a variety of applications and systems. IMPACT services will integrate with the broader DHS mission and enhance existing Department-wide IT capabilities.
The Remedy Developer will support BMC Remedy 9.1 ITSM suite applications. The candidate will participate in the design and implementation of various BMC Remedy ITSM Suite products including Service Level Agreements (SLM), Configuration management (CMDB), knowledge management, and self-service capabilities. In addition, the developer will participate in the integration of the BMC Remedy Action Request System with other GOTS and COTS application.
• Develop and integrate Remedy improvements and feature additions utilizing feedback from leadership and infrastructure teams including self-service and capability automations
• Perform BMC Remedy ARS COTS customization development and database development
• Design and develop Remedy ARS software for a multi-tiered user support application supporting Service Desk and Data Center operations
• Perform change assessments including the development and implementation of change control board documentation as well as attend and defend change request to Government Configuration Change Boards (CCBs)
• Deliver ongoing improvement opportunities with processes, standards, and policies
• Work as a team player, learning form others as well as mentoring
• Responsible to operations and maintenance of out of the box Remedy Applications
More about the Role:
Candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, developing and/or modifying BMC Remedy ITSM Suite and BMC Remedy Action Request System.
• Presents ideas for system improvements
• Conducts impact analysis for software changes
• Produces detailed specifications and requirements design documents
• Works closely with other Remedy developers to understand and implement functional requirements
• Conducts unit tests and documents findings
• Supports formal testing in controlled environment before code is promoted to production
• Adheres to program configuration change control standards. Provides input into training manuals for users
• Extends applications by using applicable application tools
• Maintains knowledge of feature and technical changes in the tool
• Interfaces with users to better understand and use the tools according to documented processes
Required Experience:
• Experience working with BMC Remedy version 8 & 9
• Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
• Ability to obtain a DHS TSA Entrance on Duty (EOD)
• BA/BS or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience serving as a Remedy Developer and Administrator
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Experience with the Implementation of Atrium Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Experience with BMC Service Request management
• Relevant DHS focused experience
• Current DHS TSA EOD
• ITIL v3 or Intermediate
• Remedy Certifications
